Toronto Police officer has been charged

Dec. 28, 2023, Toronto, Ont. – A Toronto Police Service officer has been arrested and charged by the Toronto Police Service’s Professional Standards Unit.

It is alleged that on Dec. 20, a man and a woman were involved in a dispute, and the man assaulted the woman.

On Dec. 20, Cst. Sameer Kara, 40, was charged with assault.

Cst. Kara, of Communications Services, has 14 years of service and is suspended with pay as per the Police Services Act.
