
Saskatoon moves toward civilian-dominated police board

Saskatoon seems likely to establish a board of police commissioners with a majority of members from outside city council, despite concerns about accountability.
City council’s governance and priorities committee, which includes all council members, voted unanimously on Monday to consider adding two civilian or non-council members to the police board.
