Wikwemkong Tribal Police Service launches new website
After five months in the making, Wikwemkong Tribal Police Service has revealed its new “intuitive, interactive” website.
“It was recognized through feedback from our communities that we needed to have more effective lines of communication with our people in order to share the future vision and the direction of WTPS,” a news release stated.
New features include a direct link to the Facebook page, a compliments and complaints section for the public as well as a wanted a missing persons section, There is also information on job postings and programs available.
The site went live on Dec. 21, 2018.
Earlier in 2018, Wikwemkong Tribal Police Service also welcomed new chief Tery McCaffrey, an experienced First Nation policing veteran with more than 22 years of service from across Canada.
