Former chief becomes interim leader of police in Timmins

Jan. 4, 2024, Timmins, Ont. – Effective Jan. 8, former Timmins police chief Denis Lavoie will become acting chief of police during the search for a full-time replacement. Lavoie temporarily replaces Dan Foy, who suddenly resigned in November after less than two years on the job.
