TPS joins police services across Ontario to celebrate Crime Prevention Week

November 8, 2021  By Blue Line Staff

Nov. 8, 2021, Toronto, Ont. – Crime Prevention week is underway across Ontario and to support this year’s theme, “Safer Communities, Stronger Ontario,” TPS is offering a number of tips to help keep the community safe.

The annual Crime Prevention Week is a collaboration between the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP), the government of Ontario and local police services to help prevent crime before it happens and create safe communities. It also raises awareness about the many initiatives police and community partners are working on to further these goals.

“Crime prevention is at the core of what we do every day, with the help of our valued community partners and the residents of Toronto,” said Chief of Police James Ramer. “This week we highlight the great programs being delivered by our members and the community and join our colleagues across the province in making sure Ontario’s communities stay safe, healthy and resilient.”
