November 8, 2021  By Blue Line Staff

Nov. 8, 2021, Toronto, Ont. – Members of the Toronto Police Service Military Veterans Wellness Program and 52 Division are inviting the public to have a coffee with a cop, veteran and soldier on Tuesday November 9, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yonge/Dundas Square.

TPS members currently serving in the military, military veterans themselves, or those with a personal connection to the Canadian Armed Forces will be having a coffee and chatting with members of the community.

Retired Master Sniper, Team Leader, Author, Motivational Speaker and former Ottawa City Councillor Jody Mitic is also attending to talk about military issues and overcoming adversity. The coffee is being generously donated by veteran owned and operated Arrowhead Coffee Company.

Since its creation in 1834, the TPS has had a strong connection with the military, with many members and veterans serving at home and abroad. Thirty-eight members who made the ultimate sacrifice rest in thirty cemeteries across seven countries. Over 100 TPS officers have served more recently on International Policing Peacekeeping and Peace Operations around the world.
