After a long and hard-fought battle, Russill Fairey passed away on July 25, 2019, at home.
He was a proud retired detective-sergeant of the Toronto Police Service, spending the last 12 years of his career with the Hold-Up Squad.

Russ was a fighter and one “tough” hold up squad officer with the Toronto Police Service. I know first hand during his illness he fought hard, and also fought just as hard in spending his last few years as a proud father to an amazing three girls (Melissa, Alanna, and Janna), husband to an extraordinary woman, Gina, and a vast family of friends.
This warrior will be missed by the blue wall of our Canadian Police family!
