Peel Regional Police officer charged with criminal offences

June 14, 2022, Mississauga, Ont. – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Professional Standards Bureau have charged an officer with benefits fraud.

Constable Scott Hutchings, an 18-year-employee, has been charged with one count of fraud under $5000.00. Constable Hutchings was suspended with pay as per provisions of the Ontario Police Services Act.

Constable Hutchings is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 18, 2022.
