“IAWP has, for the past 104 years, promoted the role of women in policing, championing change to enable women to play their full part in delivering an inclusive service to local communities,” says IAWP President Deborah Friedl. “Our belief is that women need to be recognized for their contribution. Without our annual recognition program some phenomenal women, and men, would go unrecognized for their efforts.”
The association’s mission statement is to strengthen, unite and raise the capacity of women in policing internationally.
