KINGSTON, Ont. — Police in Kingston, Ont., have apologized to an elderly driver after they say one of their officers was videotaped berating and swearing at the man.
The video, which Kingston police say was posted online Monday, was taken after the elderly driver passed a barricade for a flooded area.
The driver got trapped in the flooded area, which is when police say the officer started “using profane comments” towards the driver.
Police say they’re now investigating the incident internally.
A statement from the force says such behaviour will not be condoned.
