Saskatchewan officer charged after Public Complaints Commission investigation

Sep. 29, 2023, Prince Albert, Sask. – Saskatchewan’s Public Complaints Commission says an officer with Prince Albert police is facing assault charges.

It says it received a request from the force to open an investigation into alleged assaults in July 2022.

Findings were reviewed by Saskatchewan’s Public Prosecutions, which determined charges were warranted.

Const. Dillon Husky was charged Wednesday with three counts of assault.

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Oct. 26.

The Public Complaints Commission investigates and reviews complaints against municipal police services.
