August 21, 2017 By The Canadian Press
Three youth went into a grocery store Thursday night and it’s alleged they stole some things before fleeing on foot after pointing a firearm at an employee who approached them.
Four officers and police horses Vimy, Ortona, Juno, and Maverick were on patrol in the area and got the call about the robbery.
They saw the suspects running and the horses gave chase; two males surrendered right away while a third kept running.
He was taken into custody a short while later.
A replica hand gun was found in a backyard, and one youth was charged with one count of pointing a firearm and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
