More arrests made, charges still a question, in Calgary homicide cold case

September 9, 2019  By The Canadian Press

CALGARY — More arrests have been made in what investigators believe was a targeted and financially motivated homicide 11 years ago in Calgary.

Police say two Calgary men were arrested Wednesday in the January 2008 death of Allan Teather, who was shot in the parkade of a southwest-area condominium complex.

They say new evidence links the pair to the shooting, but details will not be released until charges are laid.

Brian Cheng, a 34-year-old Calgary man, was arrested Aug. 15 and charged with first-degree murder.

A man was taken into custody in Vancouver on Aug. 29 for his alleged involvement in the case, but he was released pending further investigation.

Police say they are still seeking tips from the public.
