The Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Ralph Goodale, announced the Government of Canada would be establishing an interim management advisory board to provide the RCMP commissioner with expert external advice on the management and administration of the RCMP. Thirteen members have now been appointed, including Leanne Fitch, the recently retired chief of police in Fredericton, N.B., as vice-chairperson, and John Domm, a former chief of police for the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service, as well as for the Rama Police Service.
