Oct. 19, 2021, Whitby, Ont. – The DRPS Children’s Games is celebrating its 37th annual event on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
The Children’s Games are designed to provide a fun and supportive sporting opportunity for children aged five to 18 with a variety of physical limitations. Due to COVID-19, this year’s games will look a little different. To protect the health and safety of all athletes and volunteers, the 2021 Children’s Games will be a drive thru event.
Athletes and their families will attend the drive thru event by appointment time slot. The DRPS will have officers, auxiliary officers and Committee members on hand cheering on the athletes. Athletes will drop off their pop tabs, pose for a photo and then pick up their Game Day in a Box, which includes a t-shirt, medal, lunch voucher, games package and all kinds of swag and goodies the athletes can enjoy at home.
