Bob Gutwein, retired vice president at Accident Support Services, passed away

Mar. 12, 2024, Toronto, Ont. – It is with great sadness that we share the news of Bob Gutwein’s passing on March 6. 2024. Gutwein was the retired vice president of sales and operations with Accident Support Services International Ltd. (ASSI), from 2000 to 2017.
Before joining ASSI in 2000, Gutwein spent 30 years in the insurance industry, rising through the ranks from adjuster to his last position at Zurich Insurance as vice president, claims customer services, where he managed claims offices across Canada.
Many will remember Gutwein’s positive energy at each OACP annual conference and exhibit. Throughout his tenure, Gutwein was always in attendance at the OACP and CACP annual conferences and called on numerous police services in Canada and the United States establishing several relationships and setting up collision reporting centres.
Gutwein was well respected and will be fondly remembered by many active and retired members.
