Toronto Police partners with fairness commissioner, plans forum for body worn camera project

After receiving approval from the Toronto Police Services Board in September 2016 to move forward with a body worn camera (BWC) project, the Toronto Police Service says it has been researching the best way forward based on the results of the 2015 Pilot Project.

Before seeking the assistance of a company through the Request for Proposals process, the Toronto Police Service has partnered with a fairness commissioner, William Mocsan, from HKA, to “oversee and provide advice on this large and complex process.”

Police will also be hosting the first public forum on this topic on Oct. 17, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at headquarters.
