RCMP say they broke up fight between rival biker gangs in British Columbia
RCMP say they were called to the fight at a gas station in Cranbrook early Friday evening, and they say front-line officers flooded the area and were successful in separating the two groups.
Police say that shortly after, they were called to the local hospital where five people showed up with apparent stab wounds.
Police say the hospital was temporarily placed under lockdown while the injured were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and they say additional officers in the hospital’s parking lot were needed to prevent further violence between the rival gangs.
All of the injured were released after receiving treatment, and RCMP say they escorted one group from the city.
No arrests have been made, but police say they’re still investigating.
Police add that there’s no indication the fight is related to an ongoing conflict in B.C.’s Lower Mainland.
