Cocaine, meth, fentanyl seized in giant drug bust in Brantford

July 15, 2022, Brantford, Ont. – Three people are in police custody after officers from Six Nations, Brantford police and the OPP searched two homes in Brantford on Thursday and found drugs, guns, jewelry and cash.

According to Six Nations Police, the seizure was the culmination of a nine-month investigation into drug trafficking on the reserve nicknamed Project Reunion.

Six Nations Police secured 15 search warrants that were executed in Brantford on Thursday.

In total, police say officers seized roughly six kilograms of methamphetamine, four kilograms of cocaine and half a kilo of fentanyl, along with a “large quantity” of prescription drugs such as hydromorphone, oxycodone and alprazolam.

Officers also found 18 guns, ammunition, jewelry valued at $200,000 and approximately $86,000 in cash.

A 31-year-old man, 29-year-old woman and 59-year-old woman, all of Brantford, face a variety of drug and weapons charges, along with charges of possessing stolen property and proceeds of crime.

The three accused were held for a bail hearing and remain in police custody.

In a media release, Six Nations Police said more arrests and charges are expected.
