VIDEO: Police leaders share what’s happening on PPE scene during pandemic

Police leaders from across Canada, including British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario, gathered via video for Blue Line’s first ever virtual roundtable last week. Blue Line editor Renée Francoeur spoke up with RCMP Assistant Commissioner of Contract and Indigenous Policing Dennis Daley, York Regional Police Staff Sgt. Christopher Plante, Edmonton Police Insp. Trevor Hermanutz, Delta Police Supt. Harj Sidhu and Saskatoon Police Insp. Patrick Nogier. They discussed PPE (personal protective equipment) stories and challenges for law enforcement during the pandemic, including managing supply and questions around suitability. They also touched on the opportunities for learning from this crisis and finding strength in working together.
