Toronto Police Service officer faces further charges

June 24, 2022, Toronto, Ont. – A Toronto Police Service officer has been re-arrested and faces new charges in relation to the same missing person investigation. On April 12, it was reported that on Thursday, February 17, 2022, a missing person investigation was started in 53 Division. One of the officers assigned to the case took possession of the missing person’s personal belongings.

Now, after further investigation, it is alleged that: a watch belonging to a missing person was stolen.

In a different May 26 investigation, it is additionally alleged that: a police officer took possession of a credit card that was subsequently used to make a purchase.

Boris Borrisov, 48, of Toronto, was re-arrested on June 24, 2022.

He is further charged with: Theft; trafficking in property obtained by crime; breach of trust x2; theft of credit card; possession property obtained by crime; use of credit card obtained by crime.

Borrisov is scheduled to appear August 4, 2022, at Toronto West Courts.

Constable Borissov, of 53 Division, has 16 years of service and has been suspended with pay as per the Police Services Act.
