Tactical Breakdown podcast offers new roundtable resource for police

February 7, 2020  By Staff

Tactical Breakdown, a law enforcement podcast launched last year, is now introducing another new resource for officers: The Instructors’ Roundtable (ITR).

ITR is a live panel discussion, moderated by Tactical Breakdown’s host Adam Kinakin in association with the team at Calibre Press, a company based in Illinois that conducts training for law enforcement officers. The program brings together subject matter experts (SMEs) in law enforcement for a “no-hold-barred discussion” on a variety of topics.

The first episode was held on Jan. 30, with a focus on use of force and defensive tactics training. On the panel were four well-known instructors: John Bostain, Chris Butler, Scott Savage and Tony Blauer.

During the livestream, the audience was encouraged to submit questions or scenarios to the panel of experts, giving officers around the world unprecedented access to experts they would otherwise never have the opportunity to engage with or learn from.

“Calibre Press is proud to support this impressively collaborative effort between the nation’s leading experts,” says Calibre CEO Scott Buhrmaster. “Combining decades of knowledge and experience to thoroughly dissect the critical topics that most impact today’s officers is squarely in line with Calibre Press’s training philosophy. The opportunity this gives all of law enforcement, regardless of location, to tap into this wealth of expertise from the comfort of their own computer is second to none.”

The Instructors’ Roundtable is an ongoing program hosted live on the last Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. CST. You can view the live show and previous episodes by visiting https://thebreakdown.ca/IRT.
