RCMP to deploy foot patrols in downtown Courtenay beginning May long weekend

May 16, 2023, Courtenay, B.C. – The Comox Valley RCMP is launching an initiative that will enhance police presence in the downtown Courtenay area. Starting the May long weekend and continuing until Labour Day in September, dedicated foot patrols will be deployed to support community safety and increase engagement with residents, businesses, and visitors.

“The downtown foot patrols will enable our officers to actively connect with the community on a personal level,” said Insp.
