Online part-time program for career advancement and further studies
Designed to meet your needs as a working professional. Students in this program are police officers, paramedics, fire fighters, and other frontline public safety workers, and range from relatively new employees to managers, command staff and senior executives.
Upgrade your credentials Use your previous postsecondary education, work experience and training in the field of justice or public safety for credit towards your degree. Earn a Bachelor of Applied Arts from the University of Guelph for growth and career advancement in a variety of sectors and/or pursue further education.
Expand your professional skills Our program builds critical thinking, and a research- and evidence-based academic foundation to complement and expand your experience. We’ll give you the tools to do your job better!
Complete your degree part-time All courses are 100% online. Complete your degree in two or two and a half years!
You must have a recognized college diploma in an academic field with a minimum 70% cumulative average, or you must have completed at least 10 university level courses with a minimum 70% cumulative average.
You must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience in a related field.
This program is designed for you to start with transfer credit towards your degree requirements. If you have completed recruit/induction training at any of the facilities listed on our website, you may receive 2.0 additional credits. Your transfer credit will be assessed on an individual basis. An official Transfer Credit Assessment will be included with your offer of admission.
