Police find, safely dispose of explosives near Timmins, Ont.
TIMMINS, Ont. — Police in northeastern Ontario say they've safely recovered and disposed of explosives found near Timmins.
July 13, 2017 By The Canadian Press
Local police were called to a street just south of the city on Monday after someone discovered two sticks of dynamite and a blasting cap in the area.
Provincial forces got involved the next day, taking the explosives to a remote area and safely detonating them.
Police urge caution if any member of the public finds suspected explosives and urges people to call authorities immediately rather than trying to handle the items themselves.
