Peel Regional Police officer charged with criminal offences

July 19, 2022, Mississauga, Ont. – Investigators from the Professional Standards Bureau have laid charges against an officer in relation to an alleged off-duty incident that took place outside the Region of Peel.

Constable Jason Beccario, a 16-year-employee with PRP, has been charged with two counts of assault.

Constable Beccario was suspended with pay, as per the provisions of the Ontario Police Services Act.

Constable Beccario is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on a future date. Upon completion of the criminal proceedings, a Police Services Act hearing will follow.
