The Toronto Police Service released the final report from their Transformational Task Force on January 26th, 2017. The report is the culmination of a year of work by sworn and civilian members of the service examining how to modernize service delivery.
“We’re looking at being innovative, being sustainable, being affordable but, more importantly, the right model for policing today’s environment.” Chief Saunders said. "We’ve made changes over the years but this is exponential. This is starting from a blank page and looking at today’s needs.”
The report examines every business process and proposes alternatives to improve service delivery without relying on additional staffing and other traditional solutions.
