Toronto Crime Stoppers’ Youth Program Initiatives has been selected as the recipient for the 3rd Annual Hockey Classic for Canada’s security industry, hosted by Mission 500’s Canada Committee.

On February 15, 2018, at Canlan Sports York in Toronto, Ont., security industry professionals gather for a day at the rink: playing hockey, networking with colleagues, sharing good times and raising money for a very worthy cause.

All players receive:
•    Minimum 3 games (possibly 5),
•    Free swag,
•    Free snacks and drinks during the tournament,
•    Free dinner at post-tourney banquet,
•    Chance to win some great hockey-related prizes,
•    Networking with fellow security industry professionals,
•    Satisfaction of raising money for a great charity while having some fun at the same time.

Mission 500 is a strictly non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of children and communities in crisis. Mission 500 focuses on helping needy children and communities throughout the world by providing a sustained flow of food, clothing, and education to those children who might otherwise be malnourished, diseased, or without the necessary skills to provide for themselves and families.

Since 2007 when Mission 500 was introduced into the security industry, it has succeeded in involving many segments of the industry. Today, it says it has reached 1,000 child sponsorships and hopes to increase that number through future efforts.

There is no cost to play. However, on the day of the event, every player is asked to make a minimum $20 donation.
