New Westminster Police Const. Art Wlodyka honoured for mental health work
Const. Art Wlodyka of the New Westminster Police Department in B.C. has been recognized as one of the 150 Leading Canadians For Mental Health Police from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

In 2013, Wlodyka became the founding officer of his department’s mental health unit and in 2016, he graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Masters in Counselling Psychology. He offers post-incident stress counselling to his colleagues and his unit has built close relationships with local community and hospital mental health professionals.
