Kentville Police Service hires first female chief

Julia Cecchetto is the new chief of Kentville Police Service in Nova Scotia.

She was previously an inspector for Halifax Regional Police’s information management section. She is the first female police chief in the province. She started with the Halifax force in 1990, when she says was the eighth woman at the time in the police department.
