Congratulations to the Integrated Counterfeit Enforcement Team from British Columbia’s Federal Serious and Organized Crime branch, E Division—Financial Integrity for winning the Bank of Canada’s 2018 Law Enforcement Award of Excellence for Counterfeit Deterrence. The Bank presents this award annually to recognize outstanding criminal justice professionals and educators working to prevent the circulation of counterfeit bank notes in Canada.
Cpl. Vinh Ngo accepted the award on behalf of E Division at the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference on Aug. 15. His division was commended for its commitment and proactive, innovative and collaborative approach to fighting the production and mass distribution of counterfeit money.
