VPD chief's contract extended to 2023

Vancouver Police Chief Adam Palmer will continue to lead the department after the police board announced an extension to his contract by three years, to May 2023.

“The extension reflects the extraordinary leadership, vision and professionalism of Chief Palmer,” the board tweeted, “and assures Vancouver citizens of continued high quality, responsive police services.”
