Hugh Stevenson is the new chief of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

He has more than 31 years of service, beginning his career with Peel Regional Police in 1987 and joining the OPP in 1994. He’s served as a First Nations negotiator, the deputy director of the OPP Intelligence Bureau and, most recently, as director of the Criminal Intelligence Service of Ontario.
