Calgary Police Chief Roger Chaffin to retire

Calgary Police Chief Roger Chaffin is retiring in January after three years in the role and 32 years in law enforcement.

He was previously a CPS deputy chief, having joined the service in 1986. In 2015, Chaffin was appointed to the Order of Merit for Police Forces. He has also received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, Federal Exemplary Service Medal, Alberta Law Enforcement Long Service Medal, Calgary Police Service Distinguished Service Medal and Calgary Police Service Chief’s Award of Excellence.
