A Moose Jaw police dog is getting praise for apprehending a crime suspect during his first day on the job.
Police say Argo, a 19-month-old German shepherd, tracked a man wanted on warrants to a frozen river near some railroad tracks.
His handler deployed the dog, which held the suspect until officers arrived.
Argo is one of two active police service dogs in Moose Jaw.
