Leica Geosystems BLK247 wins Best New Product Award

The 3D surveillance product, the Leica BLK247, from Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, has won the Security Industry Association’s (SIA) 2020 Best New Product Award.

The BLK247 was selected for its “innovative sensor-merging design and use of edge computing to bring a new level of technology to the security industry.”

The Leica BLK247 sensor detects changes by using LiDAR, 3D digital fencing that creates digital barriers around a space, and continuous scanning. It is capable of differentiating between still and moving objects and is ideal for locations that must be continuously monitored and protected.
