June 6, 2022, Collingwood, Ont. – OPP Detective Brad Olsen has been named the 2021 recipient of the Grey Highlands Officer of the Year Award.

Grey Highlands Police Services Board Chair Lynn Silverton made the presentation to Olsen at council’s meeting on June 1.

“Brad is in his 15th year of policing with the OPP. He spent the first 10 years of his policing career performing front line duties, where he was posted to the Markdale detachment working in Grey Highlands and Southgate,” said Silverton. “Brad was then promoted to the Grey Bruce Major Crime Unit, where he has spent the last four years as a Detective Constable. Brad is a well-deserving recipient of this award and he continues to dedicate and provide the highest level of service and professionalism to the communities he serves.”

On hand for the presentation was Olsen’s wife Krystin, daughter Chandler and son Kendrys. Local Staff Sergeant Keegan Wilcox also attended the presentation.
