The April 2020 shootings in the Portapique area of Nova Scotia have had a deep and lasting impact on people from across Canada. We are all left feeling deeply effected, saddened, and hurt by the tragic loss of life.

Like all Canadians, OSCA members have been wanting to do something positive to help and show the people of Nova Scotia that they are supported and that they are in our thoughts.

The Ontario Special Constable Association have organized a virtual run aimed at bringing people from across Canada together to unite “virtually” to help raise funds for the individuals, families, and communities impacted by the April 2020 Nova Scotia shootings.

The event is open to everyone, you don’t need to be a Special Constable to take part in the run for Nova Scotia!

  • Every participant will receive an OSCA Virtual Run #NovaScotiaStrong custom finishers medal and virtual run bib
  • Participate from wherever you are in the world
  • Improve your fitness
  • Join with a community of others, participating for the same cause
  • Choose your distance, either 5k or 10k
  • Your choice to either run, walk or treadmill your chosen distance at your own pace
  • Raise money for individuals, families, and communities impacted by the tragedy
