This theme reflects the fact that the police are increasingly and consistently being scrutinized and criticized via public protests, the traditional media, and social media with detrimental effects on police chiefs, police services, and the profession in general. It’s time to focus on countering the anti-policing narrative by discussing how we can better manage the incorrect or misinformed discourse coming from both internal and external sources and cope with their devastating impacts.
