The Emergency Response Portal, the secure, web-based “software as a service” product Blue Line featured as its March 2018 cover story, is now known as Situalis.

The Emergency Response Portal (ERP) was incorporated in 2015 by its founder, Mark Macy. According to Situalis’ new website, Macy’s team developed the concept of providing critical information to property owners, property management and tenants 24/7 and the sharing of information with first responders.
The product was taken to market in Ottawa and Toronto with signature clients, including Scotiabank Arena and Harbourfront Centre, and corporate clients such as Manulife. Additionally, major police services have been secured in the City of Toronto, Niagara, Ottawa and Halton regions and throughout Ontario through the Ontario Provincial Police.
Under new leadership and ownership, with Michael Lee-Chin as a principal investor, the original product has been redesigned and rebranded.
“These changes have allowed the new leadership team to leverage their diverse range of experiences, market expertise and innovative philosophies to create a company and product that reflects our clients’ information, collaboration and security requirements,” the company states.
Situalis works through direct communication and secure, remote access to key property data prior to arrival. During an incident, Situalis provides a mechanism to receive accurate site-specific information and as a tool to communicate this information to stakeholders. Registered properties connect first responders to their key gatekeepers and property-specific data, including contact lists, floor plans and live camera images, which are all protected under rigorous IT and privacy standards.
