Staff Sgt. Stefanie Finateri of Durham Regional Police Service was the recipient of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Foundation’s Mentoring & Coaching award for 2019, presented in Anchorage, Alaska, at the association’s 57th training conference.
Between 2007 and 2012, Finateri was a member of the elite Drug Enforcement Unit, being the second female officer to ever work in this unit.
