MONTREAL — Quebec provincial police seized weapons and drugs on the site of a former church southeast of Montreal last night that appears to have been taken over by members of a biker gang.
Police say a tip from the public led them to raid the former house of worship located in Farnham, in the Monteregie region.
They say officers seized methamphetamine pills, weapons, alcohol and nine jackets belonging to the motorcycle group Rock Machine.
Seven men and two women were allegedly at the site when police arrived on Saturday night, including several people wearing Rock Machine colours.
Two people were arrested for drug possession and released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
