Daniel Foy has been selected as the new Chief of the Timmins Police Service. Foy began his 27-year career with the OPP in 1995 and was promoted throughout the years, reaching the rank of Inspector. He has worked front line policing, criminal investigations and with the Unsolved Homicide Investigative Unit for North East Region. He became a D/Sgt and served as an Area Crime Supervisor. As a Staff Sergeant, he served as the Commander of the South Porcupine Det. In 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Inspector where he took charge of the James Bay Detachments.

Sara Cunningham will be the next Deputy Chief of Police of the Greater Sudbury Police Service. As Inspector of Strategic Operations and the Executive Officer to the Chief of Police, Cunningham had charge of many areas, including Professional Standards, Indigenous Liaison, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. As someone who values community partnerships she also has a dedicated background of community engagement in policing, having worked with the Rapid Mobilization Table committee and the Violent Threat Risk Assessment committee, working on the Downtown Engagement Team initiative, as well as speaking at CAN (Community Action Network) meetings and participating in Coffee with a Cop.

Jason Woods has been appointed Deputy Chief of Police of the LaSalle Police Service. He began his policing career in 1999 when he was hired by Peel Regional Police. He worked in uniform patrol out of 11 Division before being hired by the LaSalle Police Service in February 2001. During his career with the LaSalle Police Service, Woods has been the Community Liaison Officer, Use of Force and Firearms Instructor, PAVIS Officer, Criminal Investigations Supervisor, and Staff Sergeant. In 2019, Woods received the Police Exemplary Service Medal on behalf of the Governor General of Canada for having completed 20 years of full-time exemplary police service.
