CASE STUDY: How Baltimore PD is Using Smartphones to Improve Community Policing

To over see a population of 600,000 people, the Baltimore Police Department boasts more than 4,000 sworn and civilian members. To better serve and police its community, the BPD turned to BlackBerry smartphones, which are now being used as an all-in-one tool for communications, criminal database access, zeroing in on GPS locations, video and photography.
