Cape Breton police chief dies suddenly in Halifax

SYDNEY RIVER, N.S. - Thousands of people attended the funeral for Cape Breton Regional Police (CBRP) Chief Myles Burke in Sydney River Thursday morning.

Lineups for the funeral began two hours before the service began at 11 a.m.

Mourners were in two churches - Our Lady of Fatima Church, where the funeral was taking place - and the United church nearby where a video and audio feed was set up.
