Blue Line, The Podcast: Gender diversity in law enforcement with Superintendent Treena MacSween

October 25, 2021  By Brittani Schroeder

In 2021, Treena MacSween was appointed to Superintendent at the Hamilton Police Service (HPS). She is the fourth woman and first person of colour to hold this position within the HPS. This appointment means a lot to Supt. MacSween and her family, but there has been an even bigger impact for those in her community and those considering a career in law enforcement.

In this episode of Blue Line, The Podcast, Supt. Treena MacSween joined Blue Line editor Brittani Schroeder to discuss her path from recruit to superintendent, the challenges she has faced and still faces in her chosen profession, and her mission of gender diversity and attracting more women to law enforcement.
